DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN ZANZIBAR AIRPORT

ARRIVAL - ZANZIBAR AIRPORT: At the time of your arrival, our representative will greet and assist you with your luggage to the vehicle and drive you safely to your resort. Check-in at the resort. Later in the afternoon, proceed for an Afternoon Stone Town Tour.

STONE TOWN TOUR: Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques, and grand Arab houses. You can spend many idle hours just wandering through the fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways. This walking tour takes you through fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still.

Visit the House of Wonders, the former slave market for the East African slave trade, and the Arab Fort among others. It offers a fascinating look into the essence of Zanzibar. The architectural style of Stone Town buildings reflects a unique mixture of various cultural influences. You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals, countless mosques, and winding alleyways.

Day 2 – Half Day Stone Town Tour and Half Day Prison Island Tour

Half Day Stone Town Tour and Half Day Prison Island Tour: After breakfast, you will proceed for the Half Day Prison Island Tour and Half day Turtle Sanctuary. The island lies just off the Old Stone Town and is home to giant land tortoises that were imported from Seychelles in the late 19th century. It is now known for Zanzibar’s Giant Aldabran Tortoise colony, some of which are over a hundred years old! These endangered species were gifted by the government of the Seychelles. Once on the island, you can feed and pet the tortoises. If time permits, stroll through the forested interior where you'll find a variety of birds, colorful peacocks, bats, and beautiful butterflies. Keep an eye out for the shy Duikers – a rare small antelope species.

Half Day Baraka Aquarium Tour: Located in Nungwi near the lighthouse, Baraka Aquarium gives guests the chance to swim with giant green turtles and tropical fish in a natural pool. This turtle sanctuary, built by local villagers, helps nurse injured turtles and marine life back to health before releasing them into the Indian Ocean. A beautiful opportunity to witness conservation in action.

Day 3 – Half Day Dolphin Tour at Mnemba Island

Half Day Dolphin Tour at Mnemba Island: After breakfast, you will proceed for a Half Day Dolphin Tour at Mnemba Island. Located just off the northeast coast near Matemwe, Mnemba is a private atoll renowned for its crystal-clear waters and rich marine life. The diving experience is like exploring a giant natural aquarium, with stunning coral reefs and vibrant underwater scenery.

Mnemba Island is a breeding ground for turtles and a common spot for dolphin sightings. Visitors may also spot huge schools of fish, whale sharks, and humpback whales during the right season. It’s a breathtaking glimpse into Zanzibar’s vibrant marine ecosystem.

Day 4 – Day at Leisure

After breakfast, enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure. You may choose to relax at the beach, explore the nearby local areas, or indulge in optional activities and spa treatments offered by the resort. Take in the serenity of Zanzibar and make the most of your downtime.

Day 5 – Departure

After breakfast, proceed to the airport for your flight back home, taking with you beautiful memories of Zanzibar and your unforgettable island experience.
